Q-close CLINICEL Haemostatic Dressings are a range of absorbable oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) haemostats, available in fibrillar and knitted formats, designed to support effective control of capillary, venous, and small arterial bleeding during surgical procedures.

As part of the Q-close Surgical Haemostasis portfolio, CLINICEL haemostats provide reliable local haemostasis where conventional ligation or cautery may be impractical or insufficient. Both formats are fully absorbable and integrate seamlessly into modern surgical workflows.

Q-close CLINICEL Fibril features a fibrillar ORC structure that conforms easily to irregular wound surfaces and bleeding sites. The loose fibre construction increases surface contact with blood, promoting rapid clot formation and making it ideal for uneven or difficult-to-access surgical areas.

Q-close CLINICEL Knitted haemostatic dressings utilise a knitted ORC fabric structure, offering greater tensile integrity and controlled placement. This format is well suited for situations requiring precise positioning, coverage of flatter surfaces, or layered application during surgery.

Upon contact with blood, both CLINICEL formats swell into a soft gelatinous mass, assisting haemostasis while maintaining a clear surgical field. As fully absorbable haemostatic agents, neither format requires removal, supporting natural tissue healing.
