Clear dispatch times, delivery charges and receiving guidance for scientific, healthcare, veterinary and professional orders across the UK and overseas.
Standard delivery estimate in working days.
Standard overseas estimate in working days.
Orders are processed on the following working day.
The final charge depends on the delivery location.
Professional orders often involve product availability, case quantities and specialist delivery requirements. This is the standard route from checkout to reception.
Orders placed before 3pm enter processing that day. Orders placed after 3pm are processed on the following working day.
The team makes every effort to dispatch goods on time. Delivery dates remain estimates and can be affected by product availability, location and courier conditions.
Couriers are contracted to deliver to the nominated reception point. Make sure the receiving team knows that the order is expected and can inspect it on arrival.
Charges reflect the delivery destination and order requirements. The applicable amount is added to the order at the published rate.
Delivery starts from £15.00, depending on location.
The person accepting the consignment should inspect the delivery before signing. This protects the organisation and gives the team the best opportunity to resolve a courier issue.
Check that the number of parcels physically received matches the number shown for the consignment before signing.
Check packaging and goods for visible damage or shortage while the courier is still present.
Notify the courier and clearly record damage or shortage on the delivery note before signing for the consignment.
Damage or shortage must also be reported to The Orange Scientist in writing within five working days of receipt.
If an order has not arrived within three to five working days of the expected delivery date, contact the team so that it can be investigated. Missing orders must be notified within ten working days from the invoice date. The Orange Scientist does not accept liability for missing orders reported after this period.
These points cover proof of delivery, transfer of risk, acceptance of goods and ownership.
A POD must be requested within two months from the invoice date.
The customer must accept goods when they are ready for delivery. Delivery takes place at the nominated address, at which point the risk of loss, breakage and damage passes to the customer.
Once the consignment has been signed for, the risk of damage and shortages passes to the customer. Inspection before signature is therefore essential.
Title to the goods does not pass to the customer until payment has been received in full by The Orange Scientist.
Overseas customers are responsible for clearing all goods through customs and for paying all applicable local or federal taxes, duties and charges.
Send the order number, delivery postcode, organisation name and a short description of the issue. For damage or shortage, include clear photographs of the parcel, label and affected goods.
Please avoid sending sensitive patient or clinical information. Read our privacy policy for information about how personal data is handled.
