The Ethicon DERMABOND® Topical Skin Adhesive AHV12 is a sterile, non-absorbable liquid skin adhesive formulated with 2-octyl cyanoacrylate for secure topical wound closure. Designed as an alternative to traditional sutures or staples for appropriate wounds, DERMABOND creates a strong polymer film that bonds wound edges and forms a protective microbial barrier.

Upon application, the adhesive polymerises rapidly to form a flexible film that helps hold wound edges together while supporting natural healing. The non-absorbable film gradually sloughs off as the epidermis regenerates, eliminating the need for suture removal in suitable cases.

DERMABOND is widely used in surgical and clinical environments for closure of clean, easily approximated skin wounds. Supplied sterile and single-use in a Box of 12, AHV12 is intended for professional clinical application only.
