LuxSutures LUXCRYL 910 Absorbable Veterinary Surgical Sutures are synthetic braided sutures manufactured from Polyglactin 910 (PGLA), a copolymer composed of polyglycolic acid (90%) and lactic acid (10%). This proven absorbable material provides dependable tensile strength during the critical early stages of wound healing, followed by predictable absorption through hydrolysis.
The braided violet multifilament construction delivers excellent flexibility, controlled tissue handling, and secure knot performance, supporting precise placement and consistent results in veterinary surgical environments. The violet colouring enhances visibility during animal surgery, aiding efficient handling and accurate soft tissue approximation.
LUXCRYL 910 sutures retain significant tensile strength during the initial healing phase, with gradual absorption typically occurring over 56–70 days, making them suitable for general veterinary soft tissue approximation and ligation where temporary wound support is required.
This variant is supplied in USP 0 (EP 3.5), 15 cm length, and is packaged as a single sterile suture (1 pc). It is suitable for use in small animal, large animal, equine, and general veterinary practice, including procedures involving subcutaneous tissue, muscle, fascia, and internal soft tissues.
