The Mitral Valve Model is a realistic cardiac surgery training simulator designed to help clinicians, residents and medical students practise mitral valve repair procedures.
The model features a posterior leaflet P2 prolapse configuration, enabling trainees to simulate common mitral valve repair scenarios. Individual chordae tendineae can be cut or torn, allowing surgeons to practise chordae repair techniques and other advanced cardiac procedures.
The simulator can be supplied either as a simple valve model or as a complete model with chordae and papillary muscles, providing flexibility for different training applications.
